Moratti: Inter Milan wanted Lavezzi

Inter president Massimo Moratti has revealed the club tried to sign Ezequiel Lavezzi from Napoli in the summer and turned down bids for Maicon.
The Argentina international striker played an influential role in Napoli's surprise third-placed finish in Serie A last season.
"It's true. I did talk to Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, who is a dear friend, about Lavezzi," Moratti told Corriere dello Sport.
"He has great talent and an excellent change of pace, but the player is very attached to Napoli."
Moratti also admitted he was glad to see right-back Maicon return to the side following an injury as he sees the Brazilian as an integral part of the Inter [...]
